Fersa Bearings will acquire 100 percent of PFI Bearings

The Spanish multinational is strengthening its global distribution strategy in the passenger car aftermarket and diversifying its product range with the aim of closing 2022 with an estimated turnover of 138 million euros.

Zaragoza, Spain, March 2022 Fersa Group officially announces the purchase of 100 percent of the North American company PFI Group, Inc., the parent company of Perfect Fit Industries (PFI Bearings). With this acquisition, the Spanish multinational bearing company Fersa Group aims to strengthen its global distribution strategy in the passenger car aftermarket and diversify its product range. The acquisition ceremony took place on February 14, 2022 and was attended by Carlos Ehling, CEO of Fersa Group, and PFI founder John Philippe Cali.

"The Fersa Group has taken another step forward in its strategy of growth, diversification and global presence," says Andreu. "The purchase particularly strengthens the group's presence in the aftermarket sector, expanding our own commercial infrastructure in Latin America, Australia and Europe as part of the commitment to internationalization that Fersa Bearings started ten years ago." Since then, the company has evolved into a specialist in high-performance bearings not only for the aftermarket, but also for OEMs and Tier 1. "While PFI will continue to operate independently, the acquisition creates synergies and strategically strengthens the Fersa Group, which demonstrates its clear intention to continue to grow to achieve a turnover of 138 million euros in 2022," says Andreu. Fersa Group ended 2021 with a turnover of 105 million euros and a growth of 19 percent compared to 2020.
